Uganda is endowed with high potential for environmental resources ranging from natural and man-made resources. However, there has been over dependency on natural resources like soil, water, wetlands, vegetation cover and fauna for social economic development leaving man-made resources largely untapped. Due to this, Uganda is facing the wrath of climate change. Water resources are being stressed by the effects of climate change which affects the social, economic and health development. As a result, NAWAD seeksto promote sustainable natural resources management and climate change alternatives to provide for sustainable development and environmental conservation
by conducting research, raising awareness, increasing the capacity of grassroots women to make their voices heard and to adapt to changes, and doing advocacy.
