NAWAD uses research and learning to strengthen its work with women, girls and communities. We generate and use evidence to understand the challenges people face, identify approaches that work, and inform programmes, advocacy and policy.
Our research is grounded in lived experience. We work with communities and partners to ensure their knowledge and perspectives shape the questions we ask, how we interpret findings, and how results are shared.
Our research and learning focus on issues connected to women’s and girls’ social, economic and environmental justice, including:

Knowledge management helps NAWAD retain and use what it learns across programmes and partnerships. We document experiences, research findings and lessons from implementation, then share them with the people and institutions who can use them.
We aim to make our knowledge useful to communities, practitioners, researchers, decision-makers and development partners through reports, policy briefs, learning materials, presentations and other resources.
