Sylvia is a self-motivated and result oriented community educator, project planner, social and policy researcher, an entrepreneur and a human rights specialist with a master’s degree in human rights and a post graduate Diploma in project planning and management. She has a long experience in networking, mobilization, co-ordination, marketing and management, developed from working with development organizations and institutions at both local and international levels. Working with Reach Out Mbuya HIV AIDS Initiative for 2 years ushered her into deeper understanding of NGO work and positioned her to passionately work with vulnerable populations.
Working with National Association for Women’s Action in Development (NAWAD) since 2011, challenged her to practically acquire hands on experience to help her work with women in development. This has enabled her coordinate sensitization campaigns on sustainable development goals and initiate income generating activities in bid to address gender equality and climate change challenges. In addition, this has exposed her to resource mobilization, negotiation, training of trainers, and facilitation skills to ably work on projects and with government.
